The Tropeziens are proud to know that the name of this hotel comes from the story of General Allard, born in Saint Tropez who then went to India to serve the Maharadjah Ranjit Singh. There, he fell in love with a young Indian princess called Bannu Pan Deï. After getting married, the couple later came back to Saint-Tropez and lived there till they died.
